50th Reunion. . .
Huntingdon Class of 1949 Has Reunion
The 1949 graduating class of Huntingdon High School held their 50th reunion July 3 at the Bank of Huntingdon community room.
The class mates and spouses met at 4:00 p.m. for a time of renewing
acquaintances, fellowship, and reminiscing. The group was happy to
have one of their teachers, Mrs. Vivian Finch, meet with them for this
time together.
Billy "Mickey" Burrow was the master of ceremony for the evening.
After the evening meal, which was catered by Charlene Agee, a memorial service was held for two deceased members, Mrs. Ann Laster Boyd and
deceased members, Mrs. Ann Laster and Ms. Mildred Mayes.
Each classmate told of their families and gave highlights of the past
fifty years.
Prizes were awarded to Frank Fuller, who traveled the farthest;
Jackie Chandler for the most grandchildren; and Glenn Warbritton,
who had changed the least. Three additional prizes were awarded for
sitting in a lucky chair.
A great evening was enjoyed by all, and plans were made to meet
again in two years.
