2009 Class ReunionThe HHS Class of '53 reunion was held at Pin Oak Lodge in Natchez Trace State Park on April 17th and 18th, 2009. This marks the fifty-sixth year since our having graduated from Huntingdon High School.Total attendance for each of the two nights was as follows: Friday night (04/17): 5 Total: 4 Classmates (plus 1 spouse)Click here to see the names of all of our classmates, who attended during this event for either one night or both. SHAME ON THOSE OF YOU, OUR CLASSMATES, who missed this year's event. We certainly missed you and we sure hope that you, at least, thought of us and wanted to be here. The main event took place on Saturday, and again, we were allowed use of the Natchez Room for our hospitality room. The Natchez Room is located across from the restaurant and most classmates began gathering there at mid-morning or thereabouts. After exchanging pleasantries and "catching up" on "happenings during the past year", 12:00 pm soon arrived and it was time for us to eat. This is the second year that our main meal together was scheduled for noontime. Now the Natchez Room also served as the dining room for our luncheon. Throughout the time for the meal, everyone enjoyed continuing all the "catching up" and the fellowhip. Shortly thereafter, our president, Butch Reams, called us into a short business session where items of business and/or discussion were as follows: After the business meeting adjourned, we continued with our fellowship and "renewing of auld acquaintances" until approximately 3:00 PM. Soon thereafter, however, we resumed our individual journey ... which we find to be our "lot in life" or else the road which we, ourselves, have chosen to travel. ALL of us who attended seemed to hope to be back together again next year. Please make your plans now to attend. Also, please keep reminding any and all classmates about our yearly reunions. In conclusion I reiterate, SHAME ON ANY OF YOU who are depriving the rest of us from being with you during these twilight years of our lives. |
